Historic Preservation Conference – Internet Marketing
In addition to Internet Marketing and Web Technology another fundamental passion of mine revolves around historic preservation, heritage tourism, historic districts, sustainable communities, adaptive reuse, “new urbanism”, and related subjects.
We had the opportunity this last weekend to do a presentation on internet marketing regarding leveraging web assets at the Wisconsin Local History and Historic Preservation Conference in Lake Geneva WI. It was a fantastic event. I particularly enjoyed Donovan Rypkema and his presentation titled: Measuring the Economic Impact of Historic Preservation in Your Community. I could go off on a tangent in violent agreement with his findings on the economic benefits around preservation and developing sustainable communities… but I wont.
